The Substitute

·      Jesus was the substitute, the replacement for the first Adam

·      He shared in our frail humanity

·      Through death, he destroyed death, and vanquished the devil

·      We were slaves to death, in bondage, bound in chains of fear

·      He was not angelic, but human in every way
